To construct an excellent learning surrounding and rich school life of freshmen, the Freshmen Debate Competition Final themed with“Starry Foreign Language”has been successfully held at the night of October 28th in Room Ⅰ106 of the 2nd teaching building. The topic of the debate is “Whether the Loose Education is good for the Growth of College Students Or Not”, and five experienced members ,Yang Lin,Qin Yubo,Li Jia,Jin Lei,Wang Mei,were the judges of it.

Both sides set up a heated discussion around the topic. During the whole debate, the two side gave tit for tat and their wisdom brought round after round of applause. Judges made remarks after the contest, making compliments for the pretty astute deductions, pointing out some blemishes as well. After five exciting sections which are interlocked , the positive side which composed by Yan Weiting, Liu Jinwen,Wang Yifei,Li Mengqi won the contest, and the member of the negative side, Li Xingtong had been awarded as “the Best Debater” with his well performance.

The contest not only provided a stage for freshmen to show their good ability to analyze but also played an important role in cultivating an active state of students’ mind and promoting themselves. Congratulate beforehand that freshmen can show wonderful appearance and make better performance in debate competition in the whole university.
