Recently, the results of 2021 TEM4 and TEM8 have been published; the test scores of our school of Foreign Languages hit a record high. TEM4 and TEM8 are held once in the first half of each year for sophomores and seniors of English majors respectively. The 2020 exam was postponed to 2021 due to the epidemic.
Sixty students from grade 2018 and sixty students from 2019 took part in the TEM4 in 2021, the one-time pass rates were 95% and 91.67% respectively, and they are 40.43% and 37.1% higher than the national average pass rate of 54.57%. The one-time excellent and good rate for grade 2018 reached 58.33%, the one-time excellent and good rate for grade 2019 reached 55%. Both the pass rate and the excellent rate are at record highs.
Sixty-eight students from grade 2016 and sixty-six students from 2017 took part in the TEM8 in 2021, the one-time pass rates were 60.29% and 78.79% respectively, and they are 18.22% and 36.72% higher than the national average pass rate of 42.07%. The TEM8 scores of grade 2017 are at record highs.
In recent years, the school of Foreign Languages has achieved new highs in the TEM4 and TEM8 tests, which fully demonstrates the achievements of our university in implementing the fundamental task of moral education and developing the construction of a high-level applied innovative university with international influence, and the actual results of our school in training high-quality applied innovative foreign language talents.
