Recently, the winners of the 4th “Ruyi Cup”International Chinese Culture Translation Contest were announced. The awards of German Translation Department are as follows:Zhu Tiancheng won the first prize( English to Chinese), Liu Yujia and Liu Suyu won the second prize and the third prize respectively(German to Chinese),and Tian Peilin got the third prize (Chinese to German).From English Department Hu Yuyang and Song Xiaoye won the third prize in translation from Chinese to English.And more than 10 other students were given outstanding prizes in this competition.

Under the guidance of the National Steering Committee for Professional Translation Degree Research and Education,the “Ruyi Cup” International Translation Contest on Chinese Culture in recent years has received wide attention from all walks of life,which devotes to promoting the use of ancient wisdom and the integration of the East and the West,accelerating mutual learning of humanities in the countries and regions related to the Belt and Road Initiative and building a community of human destiny.It also aims to tell the Chinese story well and present the China’s image.This online competition with 6,587 entries from 528 universities,institutions and enterprises around the world was judged anonymously by 122 experts in three rounds, including an online preliminary evaluation, a re-evaluation and an on-site expert translation evaluation.
