Professor Pan Zhidan, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages (SFL), led a team of five visiting iFLYTEK Co., Ltd. on November 24 for exploring a better way to serve local economy. Cheng Cheng, manager for the school-enterprise cooperation of AI Department of iFLYTEK, gave a warm reception and conducted in-depth exchanges on issues of mutual concern.
Pan Zhidan pointed out that SFL and iFLYTEK have a good and solid foundation for cooperation in students’ internship practice since iFLYTEK provided an important practice platform, scenes and resource support for training of language service talents. In the new stage of the current intelligent language technology, new features and requirements have been found in language service talents training. And there is an urgent need for active interaction and timely responses from academic circles and industries.
Considering the status quo of students’ internship in enterprises, Cheng Cheng put forward his own thoughts on language service talents training today.
Both parties signed an agreement on strategic cooperation among industry, university and research fields and an agreement on building an internship base together.
