A delegation from the School of Foreign Languages (SFL) visited the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) and the School of English and International Studies at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) on June 5-6. The visit aimed to exchange best practices in talent cultivation, curriculum reform, and the application of digital technology in foreign language education.

At BFSU, Dean Ren Wen welcomed the delegation and shared the school's strategic development focus. She highlighted its distinctive MTI training model and research projects, such as corpus construction. The delegation also learned about the school's approach to integrating practical experience into the curriculum and its international cooperation initiatives.

At BLCU, the delegation was welcomed by the school's leadership and received an overview of its programs and internationalization efforts. Vice Dean Han Lintao led discussions on College English curriculum reform and demonstrated innovative applications of AI in teaching and translation training. Both sides explored opportunities for future collaboration and agreed on the importance of leveraging technology to advance foreign language education.

The exchange provided SFL with valuable perspectives on teaching innovation and talent development. The school plans to strengthen cooperation with BFSU and BLCU to explore new approaches to foreign language education in the age of artificial intelligence.
