A dedicated exhibition of distinguished translational outputs submitted by institutional members was staged during the opening plenary of the 2026 Annual Conference of the Translators Association of China (TAC). The session aimed to showcase pioneering advances within China’s translation sector, serving as a platform for resource collaboration, academic exchange and the commendation of exemplary translational scholarship.

Following a stringent peer evaluation procedure, a panel of authoritative experts shortlisted a suite of outstanding projects distinguished by profound scholarly value and extensive social impact. Included among these laureates was A Complete History of Classical Chinese Dramatic Theory, an academic translation initiative spearheaded by Professor Pan Zhidan, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages at Shanghai Institute of Technology (SIT). Officially published on March 31, 2026, the monograph was inscribed on TAC’s official roster of landmark translational achievements, which stands as compelling evidence of the robust translational research capabilities cultivated within university foreign language faculties.

As the project’s chief translator and lead researcher, Professor Pan devoted years to manuscript refinement and comprehensive academic validation supervision. This national accolade constitutes a pivotal professional milestone for her, while simultaneously attesting to the exceptional proficiency of SIT’s translational research team and the sustained academic advancement of the School of Foreign Languages.

Moving forward, the School of Foreign Languages will build on this achievement.
