On December 12 , 2013, the English host talent competition themed ”Spread Your Voice, Master Your Stage ” was successfully held at B101 of the library. Prof. Zhonglin from English Department, Associate Prof. Wang Zhiying and Lecturer Yang Hui from College English Office were invited as judges for this contest.
The contest attracted 16 contestants from different colleges and departments. It is consisted of English Self-introduction, English TV Show imitation and impromptu news comments. The top 7 contestants were selected for the third round after the first two rounds. After three rounds fierce competition, the top three places were awarded to Pan Tianyang from the School of Economic and Management, Dai Yilin from the School of Perfume and Aroma Technology, Zhang Yiqi from the School of Ecological Engineering. And for the School of Foreign Language, the top three were respectively awarded to Ma Peizhen, Yin Xuefei and Xia Ye. Besides, Pan Tianyang and Dai Yilin also won “the Award of Elegance”, Xia Ye won “the Most Promising Award”.
This Event enriched the campus life of the students, while increasing the interests in learning foreign language of them, also provided the students who like English Hosting chances to show themselves. It is one of the most meaningful events of the 10th Foreign Language Festival.
